Talitha Grote, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry A. Grote, Sr. and Margaret Norden-Grote; siblings Harry A. Grote, Jr., Eunice Grote-Lintzenich, Dorothy Grote-Seitz, and Wayne R. Grote; and nephews Jackson Seitz, Paul Grote, and Bob Grote.
Cherished aunt of Pat (Philip) Lintzenich-Wahler, Barb Lintzenich-Herbert, Robert (Theresa) Lintzenich, Janice Seitz-Johnson, Carole (Mark) Seitz-Mackin, Kristi (Phil) Seitz-Aubuchon, Dwayne Grote, Susan (David) Grote-Jackson, Amy (Nick) Grote-Niehaus, Steve Grote, and Mark Grote; and dear sister-in-law of Bette Carlton-Grote and Arvilla Grote. She is also a beloved great-aunt and great-great-aunt.
Miss Grote was a devoted member of Faith United Methodist, St. Charles, MO. She played the organ faithfully for decades at First United Methodist and Faith United Methodist Church, both in St. Charles, MO. Miss Grote was also the organist for hundreds of weddings, funerals and special events throughout the years. She loved music, her church and enjoyed traveling the world. Miss Grote was an Executive Administrative Assistant at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing for over 30 years until she enjoyed early retirement. She was also a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary Post #2866, the St. Charles Historical Society, United Methodist Women, and Missouri Choral Society, and many other organizations within the community. A lifelong St. Charles resident, she graduated from St. Charles High School and attended Lindenwood College and Asbury College in Kentucky.
