Teddy "Tedd" Ellisworth Ward

Teddy “Tedd” Ellisworth Ward, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 47 years to Debra Ward; cherished son of the late Theodore and Clara Ward; devoted father of Darcie (Erik) Cotten and Christopher (Mary) Ward; loving grandfather of Leanne Foley, Brandon Foley, Ryan Foley, Scarlett Ward and Jude Ward; dear brother of Charles Ward, Lavonna Rees, Donald Ward, Ronald Ward, Ricky Ward and the late Herbert Ward. 

Tedd proudly and honorably served in the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps and through his service he was able to travel the world.  

Tedd grew up on a farm in Oklahoma and enjoyed all the animals. He settled in Missouri to be with the love of his life, Debra, who he met in Hawaii in 1973 while he was traveling with the Marine Corp. Tedd adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.  

Tedd had a big heart, he was gentle, enjoyed helping others and always had the best intentions. He was very handy and enjoyed trying to fix anything he could. In his free time, he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and loved watching and attending the games.  

Tedd was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

There will be a family wake on Monday, April 1st following a private family viewing. Please contact the family for more details.
