Lohmar, Jr., The Honorable William T., of St. Charles, MO, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at the age of 68. Loving husband of Shirley Lohmar (nee: Mastin); beloved son of Phyllis Lohmar and the late William T. Lohmar, Sr.; devoted father of Timothy Lohmar; cherished grandfather of Drew and Sidney Lohmar; dear father-in-law of Stephanie Lohmar, dear brother of Marilyn (Lloyd) Delaney.
During his legal career, Judge Lohmar served St. Charles County in a judicial capacity for more than 29 years. He was first elected to the bench in 1974 as a Magistrate Judge in St. Charles County. He was elected 4 terms as Associate Circuit Judge, and elected in 1990 as Circuit Judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. He served as the Presiding Judge from 1993-1995. After retiring as a state judge, he was elected Municipal Judge for the City of St. Charles in 2011.
As an advocate of education and professional development, he served as an instructor at Lindenwood University, the former St. Mary's College in O'Fallon, MO, the National Judicial College, and the State of Missouri Judicial Education Committee.
He served on the St. Charles Community College Board of Trustees since 2011 and was re-elected in 2014, having filled the offices of Vice President and Treasurer of the Board.
Lohmar was a member of the St. Charles County Bar Association of which he was a past president.  He served on the Board of Directors for Parkside Meadows Retirement Community, was a past board president for Jaycee Fairgrounds Village and congregational president of St. John United Church of Christ, St. Charles. He loved baseball and for many years coached little league, amateur select baseball and the Metro Collegiate League. In 2012, he was inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Southeast Missouri State University where he was a member and past President of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 1970.
