Theresa Jean Kierath

Theresa Jean Kierath (nee Horan), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the age of 94. Loving wife of the late Gilbert "Gil" Kierath; beloved daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary Horan; devoted mother of Karen (James) Anderson, Susie (Carl) Hintmann, Steven (Christine) Kierath, and Brian (the late Cherryl) Kierath; cherished grandmother of Drew (Valerie) Anderson, Megan (Brett) Largent, Robin (Jason) Fultz, Brooke Nelson, CG Hintmann, Kelly (Tim) Schieltz, Christopher Kierath, Katie (Chris) Sharp, Ashley (Chris) Blaesing, Nikki Donnelly, Brian "BJ" Kierath, and Brendan Kierath; treasured great-grandmother of 19. Theresa is also preceded in death by her siblings, Frank Horan, Ann Juergens, Kate Jirauch, Geraldine Doerr and John “Bill” Horan.

Theresa was a dedicated and devout member of Sts. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church, where she found joy in volunteering. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called her the "Queen" of the family. She shared 47 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Gil, with whom she loved to travel. Known for her outgoing personality, Theresa cherished the time spent with friends and deeply valued their friendships. Her infectious smile could light up any room. Birthdays were always special to her, and she never missed a chance to celebrate. Christmas was her favorite holiday, as it brought everyone together—a reflection of what she cherished most in life. Theresa was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Theresa's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Saints Joachim & Ann's Food Bank.
