Thomas Edward Elmore, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Frances Elmore; cherished son of the late Edna Elmore. Devoted father of the late Laurie Hubbartt; son-in-law, Gary Hubbartt; loving grandfather of Jordan (Jennifer) Lee, Takisha (Mark) Young, Alexandria (Jake) Hubbartt, and Dominic Hubbartt; treasured great-grandfather of Ariana, Malarie, Urijah, Malachi, Emily, Linsey, and Elijah; great-great grandfather of Braelyn, Ansley, and Baylor.
Thomas proudly served his country and was a Korean War Veteran. He was a man of simple pleasures and genuine passions. Thomas cherished the railroad, fixing things, and sharing stories. Whether it was tightening bolts, oiling gears, or tweaking engines, Thomas found solace in fixing things, turning each repair into a labor of love. His real talent was storytelling, as he could captivate others with his tales, transporting them to different worlds. In the midst of the railroad's sounds and smells, Thomas discovered happiness in the simplicity of his passions. Thomas was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Thomas Elmore has quit the scene and now the Groundhog is delivering his mail.
