Thomas Felix Banaszek, of O Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Carol Banaszek; cherished son of the late Felix and Larena Banaszek; devoted father of Gregory (Susan) Guignard, Gerri Guignard, Tracy Hammmerschmidt, Kerry Banaszek, Dawn Banaszek; loving grandfather of Justin (Elizabeth) Guignard, Charles Joseph Hammerschmidt, Tasha Hammerschmidt, Terra Hammerschmidt, and Dillon Guignard; dear brother of Michael (Julia) Banaszek; treasured uncle of Michelle McGinley and Mark Banaszek. Thomas is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Thomas retired from Boeing. He loved cats and was a NASCAR and New York Yankees fan. Thomas was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Thomas's name to St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital.
