Thomas H. “Thom” Harvengt

Thomas H. "Thom" Harvengt, of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the age of 74. Loving husband of Trisha Harvengt; devoted father of Tom (Dyanne) Harvengt, Tim (Cary) Harvengt, and Carol (Dave) Sanders; cherished grandfather of Lydia, Zachary, Melanie, Valerie, Andrew, Jessica, and T.J. He is preceded in death by his parents Gustave and Christina Harvengt, his daughter Janus Harvengt, his first wife Betty Harvengt, and siblings Shirley Cullum and Robert Harvengt.
Thom was a maintenance supervisor for General Motors for over 38 years before he retired. He also served as a pastor for most of his adult life. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking Italian food. Throughout his life he served others through volunteer and mission work at church, food pantries, nursing homes and handy work. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or First Baptist Church of Lake St. Louis Building Fund.
