Thomas George Hargis

Thomas George Hargis, of O Fallon, MO, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Nona Maxine Hargis; cherished son of the late William and Mae Hargis; devoted father of Steve (Rebecca) Hargis and Bradley (Cindy) Hargis; loving grandfather of Paul Hargis, Sarah Hargis, Brandon (Elizabeth) Hargis, Candice Hargis; treasured Great-Grandfather and Great-Great-Grandfather. Thomas was preceded in death by his dear siblings, Bill, Majorie, and Alice.

Tom always loved the outdoors. He spent countless hours on Bull Shoals Lake. Tom enjoyed deer hunting, holding the record at one time for the largest buck taken in Phelps County. He was a very talented woodworker and craftsman, rehabbing homes and making furniture. He and his wife Nona pulled a 36-foot travel trailer behind their F250 for over 10 years, enjoying their travels together. Tom was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
