Thomas Jerry Hopkins

Thomas Jerry Hopkins, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the age of 79. Loving husband of 60 years to Brenda Hopkins; beloved son of the late Jeremiah Lynn and Mildred Jessie Hopkins; devoted father of Craig (Melissa) Hopkins and Mark (Devin) Hopkins; cherished grandfather of Matthew Hopkins and Nicholas Hopkins; dear brother of Carolinn (Larry) Busenbark, Glenda (the late Ron) Merz, and Sherri (Paul) Richardson; loving uncle, cousin and friend. Jerry is also preceded in death by his sisters-in-laws, Joan (Robert) Campbell, Rose Marie (Robert) Klob, and Barbara Leann (Allan) Marler. 

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a Boy Scouts of America Scout Master. He had a distinguished career as an accountant and controller, both locally and in Boston. After retirement, he cherished babysitting his beloved grandchildren and spending time with family. Jerry liked traveling to Florida and Branson, fishing in Bowling Green, Vandalia, and Lake of the Ozarks, and being out on the water boating. He always supported his children through their many hobbies, but was quite active himself, even winning multiple medals in the Senior Olympics, competing in multiple categories. Jerry also enjoyed volleyball. Jerry was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Jerry's name to the Wounded Warrior Project or National Kidney Foundation.
