Timothy K. “Timmy” Burns, II

June 30, 1981 — April 28, 2021

Timothy K. “Timmy” Burns, II, of O Fallon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the age of 39.  Loving son of Timothy (Kelly) Burns, Sr., and Judith (James) Sheehan; dear father of Lliam Gammon and Theia Burns; dearest brother of Kelly (Scott) Engelhardt, Brandon Burns, Marguerite Burns, Grace Booth, and Tara Booth; cherished grandson of Evelyn (Wayne “Bub”) Lanter; nephew of Robert Burns, Jr., Carole (Frank) Grapperhaus, Patrick (Mary Ann) Burns, Sr., and Kathy (Robert) Weiersmueller.  Timmy is also survived by the mothers of his children, Kelly (John) Gammon and Rivka Carnes.

Timmy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert (Julia) Burns, Sr. and William (Beulah) Shields; uncles, William Burns and William (Quincy) Shields; and his aunts, Doris (Wilbur) Hamilton, Darlene (Clarence “Frog”) Menke, and Patsy Burns.

Timmy was very active and enjoyed all kinds of sports.  His true passion was ice hockey, and he loved it!  In his younger years he could be found on the ice almost every day.  When he wasn’t pushing the puck around himself, he enjoyed watching the St. Louis Blues play as well.  He also liked to watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

As a competitive sportsman, Timmy was always up for a challenge.  He earned a black belt in Karate.  He taught himself how to snowboard and surf, so whether he was on the Atlantic or Pacific Coast, he could be found with some sort of board in hand.

For a more relaxing time, Tim enjoyed fishing, at local ponds or Mark Twain Lake.  He also liked to veg out and play his Nintendo video games.   He had fun working on cars and fixing them up.

Above all else, Timmy was a proud father and always looked forward to spending time with his kids.  He taught them how to skate, play roller hockey, and how to fish.  Timmy was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorial contributions may be made in Timmy's name to Narcotics Anonymous or HERO Foundation.
