"Good" and Lillie Mae Simpkins; dearest father of Alma "Jean" (Diego) Deir, Larry (Marie) Simpkins, Billy (Barbara) Simpkins, Carolyn (Richard) Dudley and the late Thomas Simpkins; beloved grandfather of Kenny, Jodi, Jeremy, Wayne, David, Jason, Timmy, Michael and Stephen; great-grandfather of Samantha, Brittany, Blake, Dustin, Cody, Chloe, Josh, Steven, Ethan and one on the way; dear brother of Billy Jack Simpkins, Ellis Simpkins, Norma Lee Stevens, Winona Kifer and the late Jessie, Betty and Maybelle. Tommy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Metropolis, IL and the Masonic Lodge #91 in Metropolis, IL. He also served in the US Army during WWII (1943-1945). His career consisted of Job Maintenance/Carpentry before his retirement and he enjoyed his years as a private pilot.
