Travis Horton

Travis Horton, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Bonnie "Louise" Louise Horton; cherished son of the late Ray A. Horton and Gerty A. Horton; devoted father of Lisa (Jason) Beckring; loving grandfather of Remi Beckring, dear sibling of Roberta (the late James) Smith and the late Talmadge (the late Pawnee) Horton; loving brother-in-law, uncle, and friend.

Travis loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening, bird watching, and, in his later years, being a babysitter to his granddaughter, Remi. His annual hunting trips to Colorado with his family for 17 years were a cherished tradition, where they made lasting memories in the mountains. A true “cowboy,” Travis admired westerns and lived with the rugged spirit of the Old West. Quiet yet strong, he was a man of integrity, loyalty, and kindness. His time serving in the military shaped his disciplined, responsible character. Travis will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His love for life, family, and country left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Memorials may be made in Travis's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner Hospital.
