Truman D. Hawthorne

Truman Dale Hawthorne, of Saint Peters, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the age of 86.  Loving husband of Evelyn Hawthorne; beloved son of the late Henry and Olivia Hawthorne; devoted father of Dale Hawthorne and Sheila Hawthorne; dearest brother of the late Derl (Mia survives) Hawthorne; and uncle of Darren Hawthorne and Kevin Hawthorne.  Truman was also a dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Truman retired after more than 25 years with General Motors as a vehicle inspector.  He met his wife in his home town of Mine La Motte as schoolmates.  He was raised on a farm and truly enjoyed all aspects of farming, even into his later years.

As an outdoorsman, Truman looked forward to going hunting with his buddies in New London.  He also cherished time on the lake fishing, and spending time in his garden.

In his spare time, Truman enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.  He liked traveling  with his wife to visit friends around the country.  And, he also enjoyed taking scenic vacations with his family to the Smokey Mountains and other sites.

Truman was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Truman's name to Boone Center Inc. (Workshop for young adults).
