Ulva Lancaster

Irene Lancaster as she was known by friends, was born December 13, 1922 in Rushville, Illinois and passed away March 23, 2008 at St. Joseph West Hospital, Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Irene was the daughter of Herman and Ulva Haun Taylor, both preceding her in death, as well as an infant daughter, Cecile Walker and a great grandson, Noah Hicks. She married Cecil Walker and then Donald Lancaster, both preceding her in death. She and Cecil had five children, four of whom are still living. They are Joe Walker (wife Eileen) of Dickson, Tennessee, Jerald Walker (wife Kay) of Springfield, Illinois, Edward Walker (wife Kelly) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Karen Eckstein (husband Ed) of O'Fallon, Missouri. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by five brothers and sisters, Wanda Mitchell, Ansel "Andy" Taylor, Norma Murphy, Audrey Lavender and Charles Keith Taylor.
