Velma McNeal

McNeal, Velma Rae (nee: Harrison) of Saint Peters, MO, died on Wednesday October 28, 2015, at the age of 83. Loving wife of the late Murry McNeal; beloved daughter of the late Raymond Harrison and the late Lois (Carl) Harrison-Ostertag; devoted mother of Jeff (Lori) McNeal, Tim (Liz) McNeal, Valerie (Brad) Barton, and Pam (Mitch) Payne; cherished grandmother of David Allan, Seth, Rachel, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Sarah, David Murry, Micah, Lydia, Timothy “TJ”, Raeanna, Aaron, Kenan, and Maleah; treasured great-grandmother of  6; and dear sister of  Lucille (Ross) Ragland. Velma is preceded in death by her siblings, Eunice Krohn, Marjorie Havens, Claire Lynn, and Phil Harrison.

Velma and her husband, Murry, were co-founders of Lake Charles Bible Chapel, O’Fallon. She also hosted youth groups in her home for over 50 years. Velma is also known by many people in the community for her dedicated work in real estate, as a top sales associate, before retiring in 2010. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, spending quality time with her family and friends, and serving others in any way that she could. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
