VanBooven, Vera E., (nee: Eikel) of St. Charles, MO, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at the age of 81. Loving wife of the late Orval VanBooven; beloved daughter of the late Ben and Lucy Eikel; devoted mother of Terry (Christine) VanBooven, Glenn (Sherry) VanBooven, and Daniel (Angela) VanBooven; cherished grandmother of Michael, Britney, Emily, Brian, Zachary, Brandi, Rachael, Jennifer, Kristin, Kayla, and Kathryn; dear mother-in-law of Vicki VanBooven; and also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Thomas VanBooven and her siblings Dorothy Stevinson and Bernie Eikel.
Vera worked for the Federal Civil Service on the Apache Helicopter Program, she also worked for the St. Charles Public School District. Vera was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and volunteered for the USO, and FISH of St. Charles County. But mostly Vera loved being with her family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
