Verna E. Snell

Verna E. Snell, of St. Peters, Missouri, died on Friday, March 12, 2010 at the age of 91. Loving wife of the late Kenneth Snell and dear daughter of the late Hubert and Hilda Engelage. She is survived by her dear daughters Donna (Harold) Armstrong and Judith (the late Kenneth) Curtis; cherished grandchildren Jeff (Yvette) Sweeney, Kelly Sweeney, Cathy (Steve) Hoffmann, Kristen Gentemann, Carin (Mark) Kleekamp, Kim (Paul) Hensel, Vickie Armstrong, Debbie (Percy) Pulido, and Amy (Les) Byron; dear great-grandchildren, Brett Sweeney, Shena Hoffmann, Tyler, Ethan, Brady and MaKenna Kleepkamp, Kaid Gentemann, Brendan Sweeney, Mindy Studer, Jackie and Stephanie Hensel, Jessica Armstrong, Samantha and Alex Pulido and Christopher Donato; dear great-great grandchildren Reagen and Riley Studer; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Verna is preceded in death by her brothers Raymond, Clarence "Red", Melvin, Harland, Leland, Harvey, and Forest "Dale" Engelage, and her sister Velma Kirtman. Verna was employed as a head dairy clerk at Kroger for 35 years before she retired. She was also a long time member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church and was an avid bowler for many years. Memorials may be made to Chapel of the Cross, American Cancer Society, or BJC Hospice.
