Verna Hennen

Verna Hennen (nee Fix), of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Alvin Hennen; cherished daughter of the late Herbert and Elsie Fix; devoted mother of Lori (Rick) Pisani, Debbie (the late Dan) Carter, Alvin Hennen, and Bryan (Laura) Hennen; dear sister of Carol (the late Roy) Moyers; loving grandmother of 10; and treasured great grandmother of 16. Verna was also preceded in death by six siblings: four sisters, Deloris (James) Plouder, Evelyn Fix, Jeanett (Phil) Bauwens, Helen (Barry) Tampow, and two brothers, Russell (Rosemary) Fix and Robert (Jan) Fix.

Verna was a dedicated member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Osage Beach, MO, where she worked in the school cafeteria. She had a passion for the St. Louis Cardinals, Alan Jackson, The Golden Girls, the Hallmark Channel, and The Game Show Network, and enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the Boat. Devoted to her family, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and cherished her church friends. Verna was known for always putting others first in her life. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
