Verna Ruth Linton

Verna Ruth Linton (nee Furlong), of St. Louis, MO, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Linton; cherished daughter of the late Jim Sr. and Irene Furlong; devoted mother of David (AJ) Linton, Stephen (Barb) Linton, Cathy (Chris) Wilson, and Pam (Paul) Durbin; loving grandmother of Erin (Ken Merkel) Linton, Drew Linton, Joshua (Anna) Linton, Nicholas (Amanda) Wilson, Michelle (Darrin) Zeisler, Jim (Dayna) Wilson, and Devon Durbin; treasured great-grandmother of Ella Merkel, Adalyn Merkel, Andrew Merkel, Eric Merkel, Nora Linton, Charlotte Wilson, Abigail Wilson, Landon Zeisler, Audrey Zeisler, Wilson Zeisler, Amelia Wilson, and Oliver Wilson; preceded in death by brother, Jim Furlong, Jr. and sister, Dolly Dunn.  

Verna loved nature and being outside. She was fond of taking walks. Verna was a very supportive mother and was involved in girl scouts and attending sporting events. Her proudest accomplishment was becoming a "Grammy" and she cherished the many memories she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Verna was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Alzheimer's Association.
