Verna Roth

Verna Amanda Roth (nee Gronefeld), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Clarence W. Roth; cherished daughter of the late Herbert and Olga Gronefeld; devoted mother of Mary Jane (the late Roland) Bargen, Donna Jean Roth and Cathy (Stephen) Diederich; loving grandmother of Gary (Tricia) Bargen, Greg (Shawn) Bargen, Tammy (Michael Hopper) Hartenbach, Tracy (Keith) Woods, Trisha (Douglas) Songer, Christopher (Elizabeth) Richardson, Ashley (Jordan Buenemann) Richardson, and Brooke (Brandon) Wisa; treasured great-grandmother of Sara, Ellanore, Alex, Austin, Madison, Grant, Elisabeth, William, Phillip, Corey, Nora, Wyatt, Collin, Carson, and Aubrey; great-great-grandmother of Karizma and Kastyn; dear sister of the late Clarence (the late Irene) Gronefeld and the late Armin (the late Lydia and the late Helen) Gronefeld; sister-in-law of the late Arvel Roth; aunt of  Donald (Debbie) Gronefeld, and Darrell (Alane) Gronefeld

Verna was a lifelong member of Friedens United Church of Christ, she was also a member of PTA, the Quilter Club and Friedens Women’s Group. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, camping, cooking and caring for her family. Verna was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Verna's name to Friedens UCC Cemetery in St. Charles, MO.
