Vernon C. Schweiker

Schweiker, Vernon C., of St. Charles, Missouri, born April 30, 1926 in St. Louis, MO and died in his home on Wednesday, November 28, 2007. He grew up and lived most of his life in St. Louis, MO. He served in the Navy during World War II and worked as an electrician at Ford Motor Company, member of the UAW. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law and friend. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Steward) of 22 years. Dear father of son and daughter-in-law, William (Amy) N. Schweiker, son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Lynn) L. Schweiker and daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann (Brad) Averbeck nee: Schweiker; dear step father to, Stephanie (Ken) Romano, Julia Romano, Marcellus (Trudi) Romano and Joseph Romano; beloved grandfather of Robert L., Kimberly, Matthew, Katie, Carlee and Chloe; step grandparent to Amy, Tracy, Timothy, Justin, Marlow, Samantha, Sofia and Robert. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nell (Long) and Raymond Schweiker, step-father Norvin Palacek and his wife, Doris Mary (Reppeg).
