Vernon Lee Barnett

Vernon Lee Barnett, of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, April 26 2020 at the age of 72. Loving husband of Ada Cheryl Barnett; beloved son of the late Grady and Ruby Barnett; devoted father of Natalie (Christopher) Hansel, and Kristen (Shawn)Clarkson; cherished grandfather of Mackenzie, Tatum, Kaylie, Mallory and Violet; dear brother of Marlene (Peter) Hernan and Paulene (the late Doug) McKay; treasured nephew of Rosie Maile and Uncle to a niece and many nephews.
Vernon proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a flight nurse during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed participating in car cruises in his 1968 Camaro. He was an avid reader and loved to travel. Vernon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Vernon's name to American Diabetes Association or the American Kidney Foundation.
The family will have a graveside service at Jefferson Barracks at a later date to be determined.
