Vicki Scheer

Vicki Diane Scheer "Mims,” age 74, passed away peacefully in Saint Peters, Missouri on Monday, August 22, 2022, and went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. She was born in Oklahoma City on May 14, 1948. Vicki was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Harold Scheer of 33 years, her parents John and Lovenia Kuhlman, her sister Donna Kuhlman, and her son Joshua Rice. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Vanessa Melinson, Erin (Tom) Oller, and grandchildren, Aidan Melinson, Luke Melinson, Kaitlyn Melinson, and Abby Wright. 

Vicki worked at the State Capitol for 27 years as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Clerk of the Oklahoma House of Representatives before retiring in 2005. Upon retirement, Vicki volunteered many hours at the Oklahoma City Mercy Hospital and other Catholic charities that were dear to her heart. Her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren and designing jewelry, where she created many unique pieces that are treasured by all. Vicki had a zeal for life and a keen eye for fashion. She had a style all her own and a fun-loving personality. Those that knew her could attest to her peace sign poses while wearing her own designed cowboy boots. 

A service of remembrance and celebration of life for Vicki will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday August 31, 2022, at Metropolitan Bible Church, 201 W Britton Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73132. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be a private interment at a subsequent date.
