Born in Yuma, AZ, she grew up In Palm Springs, California and is a 1971 graduate of Palm Springs High School. She was a resident of St. Peters, MO from 1985 to the present. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Donald Platz, her father, Jesse Van of Farmington, New Mexico. She is also survived by her siblings: Jesse L. Van, Jr., Tucson, AZ, Donald R. Van, Yuma, AZ, Joda F. Landman, LaQuinta, CA, Lavona P. Stout, Desert Hot Springs, CA, Joe Bates, Thousand Palms, CA, Kathy Willcoxson, Cathedral City, CA, Gina L. Kolstad, Las Vegas, NV, Frederick A. Bates, Cathedral City, CA. She was a dear wife, sister-in-law to the Hurst and Strickland families, aunt and great-aunt. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Fox of Cathedral City, CA. From her bright spirit and cheerful attitude, she leaves love and great memories for friends and family.
