Passed in Peace just 5 days after her 80th birthday on the evening of March 16, 2022.
Vickie Lavonne Schwarztrauber was born in Anna, Illinois on March 11, 1942 and was the daughter of Rooney W and Hazel A Davis. She was the first of 3 children, followed by Jeff and Linda.
Rooney and Hazel moved their family from Anna, Illinois to St. Louis, Missouri when Vickie was a young girl ………she attended school and met her high school sweet heart. She then went on to attend college in Springfield, Missouri for several years when made an offer she did not want to refuse….a marriage proposal.
She married her high school sweet heart, Conrad F. Schwarztrauber in St. Louis, Missouri on May 20, 1961 with all their family and friends around, anxious to start their life together. She worked as a secretary up until they decided to have their family.
Vickie was very artistic and loved to draw, paint and sew… She would attend classes and teach her girls the same. She loved being a homemaker and was good at everything she set her mind to do, creating an amazing home life for her family.
In 1978, Vickie and Fred decided to become entrepreneurs in order to support their family in the lifestyle they wanted. Vickie was the backbone of the company; the administrator, manager, accountant, and tax specialist, while Fred was the Sales and Customer Service Expert.
With absolutely no previous experience, they worked as a team, for about 30 years, in this adventure which had brought them success.
Vickie had a passion for learning and I believe it started with their business, since she didn’t have the skills background, she DID have the drive and passion to figure it all out. She became so good with her skills, even challenging accountants and tax experts.
After they retired, she traveled pretty regularly and still continued to read and learn about everything that she was interested in….including quantum physics, meditation and health. She was most passionate about her faith and purpose.
Vickie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Conrad F. Schwarztrauber (O’Fallon, MO), her two daughters, Kim Dreon (McKinney, Texas), her husband, Steve, and their two children, Sarah (32) and Joshua (30).
Her second daughter, Jill Marie (Elsberry, MO) her partner, Joel; her son, Randall and his daughter Brooke Elizabeth.
Vickie was dearly loved by her family and friends and we will miss her beautiful face, amazing cooking and addictive laughter...until we meet again…we love you so much.....
