Victor “Vic” L. Mennemeier of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the age of 98. Cherished son of the late Henry and Genevieve Mennemeier; dear brother of Barbara Waidmann; two sister-in-laws; Laverne Mennemeier and Mary Jo Mennemeier. Preceded in death by his siblings, Raphael Mennemeier, Paul Mennemeier, Bertha (Gilbert) Griewing, Henrietta (James) Cole, Charles Mennemeier, Eileen Mennemeier, and Albert Mennemeier. Loving uncle, great uncle, and friend to all who knew him.
Vic was born on September 3, 1925, in Flint Hill, Missouri. He spent the majority of his life in the O’Fallon area. Vic is one of nine children of Henry and Genevive. Vic always considered himself a very luck man and had very fond memories of his life.
Vic served in the Navy for three years before embarking on a 50-year career as a self-employed barber on Main Street in St. Charles, Missouri. He retired at the age of 70. Beyond his professional life, Vic has a passion for raising Britney dogs, enjoying outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, following football and baseball games, and playing Bingo.
Vic found joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews. He religiously watched Mass on EWTN. Some of Vic's favorites included the color blue, roses, relaxing in his chair with a hot cup of coffee in his rooster cup, and indulging in the delightful combination of chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream. Vic was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Vic's name to Wounded Warriors.
