Vincent O. Baum, Sr.

Vincent O. Baum, Sr., of Maryland Heights, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the age of 83. Loving husband of 58 wonderful years to the late Doris M. Baum; beloved son of the late Oliver Vincent and Adele Baum; devoted father of Linda M. Schomber, Brian N. (Terri) Baum, and Vincent O. (Winnie) Baum , Jr.; proud grandfather of Chrystal Schomber, Charles (Christie) Schomber, Emily Baum, Courtney Baum, Morgan Baum, and Emma Baum; treasured great-grandfather of  Taylor Schomber and Charles Schomber; and dear brother of Tom (Laura) Baum, Shirley (the late Bob) Steers, Rosemary (Dieter) Bryson, Joanne (Richard) Tumbarello, Robert (Christine) Baum, Ron (Jane) Baum, and Jimmy Baum (Laura).  He was also a loving uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many.

In addition to his wife and parents,  he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Gale Marie Baum.

Vincent retired from General Electric after 42 years of dedicated work. He proudly served his country in the United States Reserves. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Vincent loved recreational sports and watching the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, and college teams. He also enjoyed dancing, especially swing dancing and the jitterbug with the love of his life, Doris. Most of all, Vincent enjoyed spending time with his family and being a great provider to them. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
