Vincent “Vince” Schimweg

Schimweg, Vincent "Vince", of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the age of 88. Loving husband of the late Dolores Schimweg; beloved son of the late Henry and Loretta Schimweg devoted father of Susan Kyle, Sharon (John) Fiorini, Mark (Yvonne) Schimweg, Jean (Roy) Hankins, and Matt (Kim) Schimweg; cherished grandfather of Janice, Kim, Tim, Jessica, Claire, Andy, Ally, Carter, and Collin; treasured great-grandfather of Anthony, Dylan, Beau, Chase, Andrew, and Layla; dear brother of Henry Schimweg, John "Jack" Schimweg, and Robert Schimweg; also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Donald Schimweg.
Vince served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a charter member of Hoisting Engineers 513. Vince also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening, but most off all spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.
