Violet Gertrude Buback (nee Wolf), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 at the age of 99. Loving wife of the late Kenneth J Buback; beloved daughter of the late Oliver and Nora M. Wolf; devoted mother of Craig (Debbie) Buback and Patricia (Robert) Johnson; cherished grandmother of Kevin Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Steven (Ariel) Buback, and Chris Buback; treasured great-grandmother of Oliver Buback and Margaret Buback; dear sister of Evelyn “Mick” (the late Edwin) Schneider and Shirl (the late Robert) Luaders.
Violet proudly served her country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Violet was an Assistant Leader Girls Scouts of America Leader, a leader of Campfire Girls, a member of the American Legion Shrewsbury Post 111, and a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cottleville.
Violet and Kenneth were married for 51 wonderful years. They met at Frank Adams Electrical Co. where they both worked and before their careers they both were Marines. Violet inspired her little sister to become a Marine as well. Violet enjoyed sewing and quilting. She loved going to the movies, enjoyed dancing, crafts with her daughter, and spending time with her beloved grand kids and great grand kids. Violet was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Violet's name to Alzheimer's Association, USMC Toys for Tots or Donor's Choice.
