Violet Marie Bishoff

October 14, 1930 — October 11, 2015

Violet Marie "Mitzi" Bishoff, age 84,   born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of St Charles, MO, and Sun City Hilton Head, SC.  Loving wife for 58 years to the late Robert W. Bishoff, devoted mother of Barbara (Jack) DeNigris, of St Charles, MO, Mary (Terry) Conick, of Bluffton, SC, and Kim (Jeff) Hayes of O'Fallon, MO; cherished grandmother of Philip DeNigris, Brandon (Jessica) Conick, Amy (Jeff) Volk, Josh (Lauren) Hayes, Melissa (Justin) Yarbrough and great-grandmother to Sebastian and Lucas Volk.  She is preceded in death by her parents George A. Young and Eleanor Pauline Young, brothers and sisters George A Young, Jr., Walter "Merrill" Young, Harry H. Young, Eleanor P. Vidt, James E. Young, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Clouner, Robert M. Young.

Mitzi attended business school after high school to study accounting/bookkeeping. She worked at Armour Co. and Williams Co. until marrying in 1956.

Enjoyed planning parties, playing cards, ceramics, swimming, and travel.

A legacy she passed onto her children and grandchildren was love and compassion for all animals.  Mitzi was fond of her many grand-dogs and asked about them along with her inquiries about her grandchildren.  An enjoyable pastime was watching the wild birds, deer, and bunnies that came through her backyard.

Author of "The Ten of Us", an autobiography recounting the earlier part of her interesting life.
