Virgil L. VanDover

Virgil L. Van Dover of Saint Charles, MO passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday January 27, 2018, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Betty VanDover  of 68 years; devoted father of Linda (Michael) Uptegrove, Gail McWilliams, Patricia (Michael) Luisi, Joan Johnston, Kevin (Nelly) VanDover, and Krissy VanDover, and father-in-law of Margaret Sheridan; loving grandfather of Shannon, Jake, Tracy, Ashly, Matt, Mitchell, Maria, Olivia, Greg, Lee, Shane, Loren, and Emily; treasured great-grandfather of 12; dear brother of, Howard VanDover, Alma Duncan and Ruth Burns. Brother-in-law of Daryl Kavanagh. Virgil is preceded in death by his parents Frank Van Dover, Lona and Clyde Liddle and his brother Lester Van Dover.

Virgil was a proud and devoted lifetime member of Pipefitters Local 562. He loved to spend time in the outdoors by camping, fishing, or grilling. He had a talent for the harmonica, enjoyed visiting the YMCA, and loved making memories with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Virgil was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
