Virgil “Whitey” Olendorff

Virgil “Whitey” Olendorff of St. Charles, MO, passed Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Dellene Olendorff; cherished son of the late Bernard and Blanche Olendorff; devoted father of Rock (Susan) Olendorff, Wendy (Larry) Wilkerson, Brent (Rita) Olendorff, and Kirk (Lisa) Olendorff; loving grandfather of 9; treasured great-grandfather of 9; and dear brother of Jacqueline Emge, the late Clifford Olendorff, the late Lloyd Olendorff, the late Maurice (Kitty) Olendorff, and the late Robert Olendorff.

Whitey proudly served his country during the Korean War as a Tanker for the Army. After returning home he dedicated more than 40 years as a cement mason.  After retiring, he worked for more than 20 years for the St. Charles City Parks Department.  He was a member of the Korean War Veterans Chapter #6 and member of Local #527.  Whitey dearly loved his family and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him in return.
