Virginia Clare Ebersole

Virginia Ebersole (nee Boyer), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2020, at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Richard Dean Ebersole; cherished daughter of the late Reverend Jonas William Boyer, Sr., and Evalyn Kinkade Boyer. Devoted mother of William H. Ebersole, Jolyn (Wayne) Matthews, and the late David W. Ebersole; loving grandmother of Zachary (Sara) Mitchum, Luke Mitchum, Hallie Mitchum, Casey (Lindsay) Matthews, and Amber (Boomer) Price; treasured great-grandmother of Riley Mitchum, Olivia Mitchum, Kaylee Matthews, Owen Matthews, and Ellie Price; dear sister of the late Robert Boyer, Jonas William Boyer, Jr., and Dr. Richard Boyer; sister-in-law of Shirley D. Boyer; and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Virginia enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bridge, traveling, camping and eating out. She was a longtime member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and was deeply involved in the St. Charles Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and a choir member. She also sang with the St. Charles Choral Society for several years. She served as a teaching assistant at McKinley Elementary School in St. Charles and also taught at Perry (MO) Junior High and in a one-room school in Mokane, MO. Virginia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Virginia's name to Alzheimer Association.
