Virginia Esther McCluer nee: Emmons

Virginia Esther McCluer (nee Emmons), of O'Fallon, MO, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Virgil Campbell McCluer, Jr.; cherished daughter of the late George W. and Stella Ruth Emmons. Devoted mother of Virgil C. (Cheryl) McCluer, III and Arthur C. (Lisa) McCluer; loving grandmother of Elizabeth (Nathan) Jones, Rebecca (Lyle) Whitworth, Andrew (Jacqueline) McCluer, Daniel (Michelle) McCluer, and Joseph McCluer; treasured great grandmother of many.




Ginny was a long-time member of the Dardenne Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of PEO and DAR. Ginny achieved her master’s degree plus 30 hours towards her doctorate. She touched many lives teaching elementary children for over 36 years in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. Ginny enjoyed playing the piano, feeding the birds, and caring for her dogs. She will be remembered for the sacrifices she made while assisting on the family farm. Ginny was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.




Memorials may be made in Ginny's name to Missouri Botanical Gardens.
