Virginia Gruenewald

January 27, 1918 — September 26, 2016

Virginia Seiling Gruenewald (nee: Nelson) of Naples, FL, formerly of St. Charles, MO, died on Monday September 26, 2016, at the age of 98. Loving wife of the late Earl R. Seiling; beloved daughter of the late Clifton and Bessie Nelson; dearest mother of the late Jean Elizabeth Piper; mother-in-law of Howard Piper; cherished grandmother of Douglas Piper; dear aunt and great-aunt to many. Virginia is preceded in death by her second husband, Earl Gruenewald, and her siblings, Ruth (Graydon) Stephens, Juanita Kennelly Stephens, Clifton (Estelle) Nelson, and Betty (Daniel) Shea.

Virginia was a member of the JY Chapter of the PEO, and the Daughters of American Revolution, as well as a life member of the St. Charles County Historical Society. Virginia was dearly loved, and will be missed by all who knew her.
