Virginia Mary McGinn

Virginia Mary McGinn (nee Piekarski), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the age of 102. Beloved wife of the late John D. McGinn; cherished daughter of the late Casimir and Pelagia Piekarski. Devoted mother of Mary Ann (the late William) Fortner and Michael (Patricia) McGinn; loving grandmother of William (Christine) Fortner, Teresa Fortner, David Fortner, and Katherine (Joseph) Strabley; treasured great-grandmother of William Fortner, Jackson Fortner, Owen Fortner, India Fortner, Jacob Fortner, Luke Fortner, Kameron Strabley, and Lucia Strabley; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her son, Donald P. (Charlotte) McGinn. 

 

Virginia deeply cherished her family, holding them close to her heart. She was known for her strength and independence, qualities that made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. People admired her not only for her resilience but also for her unwavering commitment to her loved ones. Virginia's dedication and hard work were evident in everything she did, from her professional endeavors to her efforts in creating a warm and nurturing home environment. Her family was always her top priority, and she devoted herself fully to their well-being and happiness. Virginia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
