Virginia C. Nelson

Virginia Carol Nelson (nee Higgenbotham), of Wentzville, MO, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Denzel L. Nelson, her soulmate and love of her life. 

Virginia was affectionately known as Nana. She was a loving woman, welcoming everyone into her heart as family and always opening her door to those she loved. Virginia loved all of her family and never met a stranger. 

Virginia was a devout Lutheran, attending church when she was able to. She loved animals and reading. She had an affinity for crocheting and knitting, and enjoyed cooking in her early life. Virginia was very outgoing and social, and belonged to the Red Hats of Piedmont. 

Virginia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Virginia's name to an animal rescue of your choice.
