Virginia Ramsey

February 11, 1922 — May 31, 2020

Virginia Ramsey (nee Proffer), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the age of 98. Loving wife of the late Clyde W. Ramsey; beloved daughter of the late Ralph and Hallie Proffer; devoted mother of Rita Ramsey and Galen Ramsey; cherished grandmother of Joshua Teare, Ian Ramsey, Megan Throop, and Olivia Ramsey; treasured great-grandmother of Kaide Throop; dear sister of Nina (the late Eddie) Grooms; and is also survived by nephews and nieces. Virginia is also preceded in death by her brothers, Seldon Proffer, Vernon Proffer; and sister, Marcella Proffer.

Virginia was a member of First St. Charles United Methodist Church and honorary member of the General Grand Chapter order of the Eastern Star. She was a wonderful mother and cook with a great sense of humor. Family was very important to Virginia. She was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Virginia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Virginia's name to First St. Charles United Methodist Church.
