Virginia Sills Galanos

Sills Galanos, Virginia of Hazelwood, MO, died on Wednesday December 31, 2014, at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Harry J. Galanos; beloved daughter of the late Lillie Bell Sills; devoted mother of Kathryn M. (John) Higginbotham, Kristine A. (John) Gannon, Donald B. (Robin) Galanos and Karla A. (Darwin) Scharfinski, and mother-in-law of Linda Galanos; cherished grandmother of ten; treasured great-grandmother of six; dear sister-in-law of Fran Sills. She is preceded in death by her two sons Edward A. Galanos and James "Jimmy" A. Galanos, brothers Joseph, Henry, Lee and Charles Sills, sister Emma Anderson, and her special brother-in-law Arthur Anderson.
Virginia was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus Volunteer in St. Peters, and of Hospital Carpenters Retirees. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, and playing cards. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
