Vivian A. Moss (nee Oliver), of St. Peters, MO, previously of Waterloo, IA, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the age of 88. Vivian was preceded in death by her devoted husband Hollis “Bill” Moss, her three sons, Kevin C. Moss, Kirk R. Moss, Brandt W. Moss, and her brother, Eldridge “Fatman” Hickey.
Vivian is survived by her son Kent (Mary) Moss and daughter Kelli (Tracee Barnes) Moss; as well as a host of other family members and friends who will mourn her loss and cherish her memory.
Vivian was no stranger to loss as witnessed by the passing of her eldest son Kevin (69yr) on her 88th birthday January 9th, 2025; her life was a testament to her unwavering faith. (Kevin Carlos Moss Obituary January 9, 2025 - Newcomer St. Louis) She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Chesterfield and former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in St. Charles, she found solace in worship and service. Her faith guided her throughout her life, shaping her into a powerful presence for all who knew her. She was devoted to her family, always offering sound advice and support. She was the glue that held her family together.
Vivian cherished time spent communing with family and friends in person and over the telephone. After retirement, she and her husband Bill took time to travel all over the world to experience many other cultures and traditions. In her free time, Vivian enjoyed cooking for her family, shopping, or watching soap operas. She was known for her mouth-watering recipes and immaculate housekeeping. Vivian was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
