Vona Marie Guagliardo (nee McKeever), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at the age of 74. Loving wife of the late John J. Guagliardo; beloved daughter of the late Julius Earl and Jenieve Jewell McKeever; devoted mother of Lia Guagliardo and Codi "John" (Margrett) Guagliardo; cherished grandmother of Maryelen Guagliardo and Michael Guagliardo; dear sister of Vicki (Robert) Leggitt and Sister-in-law of Thomas Guagliardo, treasured Cousin, and Friend.
Vona married John Guagliardo on March 22, 1969, they shared almost 52 years of marriage together. She was a member of Missouri River Quilt Guild and Calico Needlers Quilt Guild. Vona had a nursing career that spanned for 31 years, retiring from Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital. She was very creative and artistic. Vona began her artistic career at an early age painting by numbers as a child. As her talents developed, she created costumes, jewelry, cake decorating, table runners, pillowcases, purses, and quilted wall hangings to name a few. Vona was best known for her quilts. Over the years she became more knowledgeable and skilled. She not only made quilts for herself and family, but she also shared her passion for quilts, donating to charities, children's hospitals, and friends. Vona was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made in Vona's name to St. Charles County Veteran's Museum or National League of POW/MIA Families.
