Funeral arrangements by the Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson Street, St. Charles, MO. Visitation Friday, April 21, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Services at St. Francis Catholic Church in Portage Des Sioux, MO. Saturday, April 22, 2006 10:00 AM. He was born July 19, 1909 in St. Louis, MO., the son of Dr. Charles A. Barnard and Rose Boschert Barnard, now deceased. He married Desmond “Desi” Barnard who died September 22, 1978. On July 27, 1985 he married Dorothy “Scotti” Stocker who died August 27, 1991. Mr. Barnard built and operated Palisades Yacht Club and Marina, Portage Des Sioux, MO. which he sold in 1957 and joined Cairo Marine Service, Inc. of Cairo, IL. as a marine surveyor until he retired in 1985. Mr. Barnard was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, IL, the Men’s Sodality, the White House Retreat League, Inc., the Highland, Illinois Optimist Club and American Legion Post 313. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard during WWII. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church.
