Wallace “Wally” Washburn Warner Jr. of Saint Charles, MO, passed away at the age of 96 on Wednesday, February 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Claywell; his second wife, Georgia Lewis; his son, Rowley Warner; his brother, Rowley Warner; and his parents, Lillian and Wallace Warner Sr.
Wally is survived by his children, Garold (Sharon) Warner and Cynthia (Russ) Mire; his daughter in-law Jenna Warner; his grandchildren, Kevin (Mara), Matthew (Ann), Christopher (Brooke) Papagianis, Andrew Warner, Katherine (Kevin) Quinlan; his great-grandchildren, Liam, Cole, Theo, Lacey, Milo, Bernadette, Samuel and Hannah; and his stepchildren, Karen(the late Sam) Gibbs and Tony(Brenda) Lewis and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Wally proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during World War ll in Europe. He was one of the founding members of Watson Terrace Christian Church and dedicated himself to acting as its treasurer for many years. Wally was an Eagle Scout and Scout Master with Troop #62 and remained active throughout his life in The Boy Scouts of American in the St. Louis Area Council. He was a very dedicated man who worked as an architect for Bank Building and Equipment Corporation. He bowled, played card and board games, worked on puzzles and was a very talented baseball player. The St. Louis Cardinals had his lifelong support. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
