Walter F. Finke

Finke, Walter F., of Chesterfield, Missouri, passed quietly surrounded by family on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the age of 85. Loving husband of the late Norma M. Finke (nee: Liliensiek); beloved son of the late Walter F. and Sophie Finke, devoted father of David (Diane) Finke and Steven (Mickey Kemper) Finke; cherished grandfather of Matthew (Renee) Finke and Daniel (Valerie) Finke; treasured great-grandfather of Genevieve, Walter, and Morgan Finke; dear brother of Janice (Chester) Jennings; dear uncle of Adam (Amy) Jennings and Paul (Jane) Jennings; beloved cousin and friend to many.
Walter was a former member of the U.S. Army stationed in Germany and was involved later in fundraising activities for the United States Marine Corp scholarship foundation. Walter was a former buyer for Central Hardware Co. and retired as a sales representative for Walter F. Finke Associates.
Proudly inducted into the St. Louis Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, he loved all sports but excelled in golf and fishing.
The family would like to thank all of Walters's faithful friends, relatives and clergy for the many visits over the last several years and for all who sent cards of warm wishes and prayers.
Walters's long hard journey to be reunited with his 'baby love' is complete.
