Walter “Wally” Gleba

Gleba, Walter 'Wally', of O'Fallon, MO (previously resided in Florissant, MO) died on Monday, October 13, 2014 at the age of 74.  Loving husband of Maureen Gleba; beloved son of the late Walter Joseph Gleba and Laura Hussman (Lesinski); devoted father of Jane (Adam Fairfield) Gleba and Susan (Joseph) Mikulas; cherished grandfather of Lily Hall and Ruby Mikulas; dear brother of Bernice Jones, Rosemary Russo, Patricia (Jim) Cates, Catherine Thorn, Cecilia (Russ) Clancy, Richard Gleba, James Gleba, and Theresa (Robert) Dames. Walter is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law and dear friend Ronald Thorn.
He coached softball and soccer for his girls' teams, was the Athletic Director of, and belonged to the Men's Club of St. Christopher's Catholic Parish in Florissant, MO for many years.  Walter worked for the railroad for over 40 years and retired in 2002.  In retirement, he enjoyed home improvement projects (or anything involving tools), watching the Cardinals, Rams, Blues and Mizzou games, and especially spending time with his family.
His contagious laugh and lively personality will be missed by all who know and love him.
