Walter "Wally" Peter Morse

Walter “Wally” Peter Morse, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 84. Loving husband of Eunice Morse; son of the late Walter and Nora Dust; cherished uncle of Megan Dusak; stepfather of Jennifer (Kevin) Greathouse, Michael (Cindy Stone) Mriscin, and Cory (Jackie) Rodriguez; dedicated grandfather and great-grandfather. Wally is also preceded in death by his sister, Lois.

Wally proudly served his country in the United States Army; ranking Sgt E-5. He attended Aviation Mechanics School in the U.S. Army and was a Lifetime member of VFW Post 2866. Wally’s skills during his time in the Army gave him a career working for TWA. He began in Chicago before transferring to California and then ultimately to St. Louis.

He loved the people close to him. When he moved to St. Louis, roughly 20 years ago not knowing anyone, Jim Albers and John (Denise) Bell, immediately invited him to be a member of their own families that sparked a lifetime friendship.  Seven years ago, Wally’s family grew even more when he met Eunice and fell in love. The bonds and memories this close group share are unforgettable.

Wally loved to show off his 1966 Mustang, entering in many car shows over the years.   He loved football and was an avid Rams fan until they left St. Louis. The Chicago Bears, his hometown team, might always be the favorite but he continued to root for the Kansas City Chiefs all the way to the Superbowl. Wally was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Walter's name to Stray Rescue of St. Louis or VFW Post 2866.
