Wana "Faye" White, 79, was taken by Jesus to her Heavenly home on September 6, 2007, where she is now re-united with her husband of 47 years, Walter White. Faye was extremely active in many organizations until the day she was felled by a stroke. She was a member of United Methodist Church of the Shepherd for 10 years, a volunteer for the Red Cross, St. Charles Visitors' Center, the St. Peters Police Dept., and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, as well as a member of the BJC Auxiliary. Prior to that she was employed for 30 years in many capacities in the banking industry. Faye is survived by her devoted daughter, Barbara White, R.N., as well as a sister, 'Babe' Houser, 2 nieces, Marilyn (Gary) Davis, and Linda (Jerry) Rodriguez, and Marilyn and Linda's sons and their families. Faye was also blessed with many friends, some of whom came to be part of her extended family. Due to the length and extent of Faye's illness, her wish to be an organ donor could not be fulfilled. Upon her directions, Faye was cremated, thus there will be no funeral service. However, she will be remembered with love, respect, and admiration in a memorial service to be held at United Methodist Church of the Shepherd, 4116 McClay Road, St. Peters, Mo. on September 15, 2007. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., with the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. The family requests donations to the United Methodist Church of the Shepherd or Heartland Hospice in lieu of flowers.
