Warren Roades

Warren Edwin Roades of O’Fallon, MO, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra Florence Roades. He was born to Charles Roades and Eunice (Nolan) Roades in Alton, Illinois, who preceded him in death, along with his brother Charles Roades, Jr.

Warren was a loving father to Laurie Roades (C. Jessie Jones), Barbara Roades (Jef Fletcher), Susan (Brian) Berghoefer, and Scott (Teresa) Roades; grandfather to T.J. Roades, Zachery (Haley) Berghoefer, Sara Fohrell, Troy Berghoefer, Jennifer Fohrell, Sam Berghoefer, Alexis Roades and Claire Roades; great-grandfather to Sophia Roades, Charles Roades, Thomas Roades, Colton Berghoefer and Lucas Berghoefer; brother to Mary de Meneses; brother-in-law to Joyce Driemeier and Karen Janssen; uncle, cousin and dear friend to many other loved ones.

Warren served in the Navy from 1958-1962. He was a devoted husband and father who dedicated his life to caring for his family. In order to provide a better life for his children, he attended evening classes at UM-St. Louis for 12 years, receiving his degree in Business Administration in 1976. Although he had a long career as an accountant for Boise Cascade and Sonoco Products, he considered his real legacy and greatest pride to be his wife and his four children. Since losing his beloved wife four years ago, Warren has looked forward to being reunited with her, together eternally.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oasis Food Pantry, St. Charles, Missouri, or the Humane Society of Missouri.

Services will be led by his niece, the Rev. Doni Lynn Driemeier-Showers. Private burial will follow.
