Wayne G. Gossage of Saint Peters, Missouri, on Sunday November 12, 2017, at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of the late Barbara J. Gossage; cherished son of the late Blaine and Georgia Gossage; devoted father of Gerry W. (Nancy) Gossage and Christopher L. (Susan) Gossage; loving grandfather of Jeremy W. (Viktoriya) Gossage, Amanda Gossage, Lauren (Dennis) Rynders, Allison Minch and Montana Gossage; treasured great-grandfather of Ashton Gossage, Dylan Gossage, Morgan Gossage, Scott Littlejohn, Lena Gossage, and Ava Rynders; and dear brother of the late Albert L. Gossage.
Wayne proudly served his country with honor in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and was a Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. He retired from McDonnell Douglas/Boeing after a rewarding career of over forty years. A highly intelligent man, Wayne was an avid reader and enjoyed science fiction, as well as Stephen King and Dean Koontz. He had a very generous and giving spirit and enjoyed refereeing and coaching baseball, basketball, and football. He was also a referee for the St. Louis Rolling Rams, an international wheelchair basketball team. Wayne will be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, coach, and friend. He was dearly loved and will be immensely missed by all who knew him.
