Wayne Norman LaVanchy, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 24 years to Joan LaVanchy; cherished son of the late Norman and Margery LaVanchy; devoted father of Cheryl (Dan) Bloch, Mark (Debbie) LaVanchy, Matt (Robyn) LaVanchy, Gina (Micheal) Beam, Debby Sateia, Ann (Jim) Rathbun, and Brian (Stephanie) Sateia; loving grandfather of David (Jessica), Timothy (Megan), Adam (Tracey), Leah (Kristopher), Nick, Lexi, Jake, Isabella, Scott (Amber), Shelly and Jesse (Katrina); treasured great-grandfather of Logan, Dustin, Savanah, Payton, Mason, Addison, Andrew, Lilly, Sophia, Ella, Eli, Ephraim, and Autumn; dear brother of Myrna (Joe) Cooper-Bowman, Glen (Jan) LaVanchy, Gary (Linda) LaVanchy, Dale (Shirley) LaVanchy, and Lila Brock; Wayne is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and his Grand-dog Molly.
Wayne was a Mason and worked for Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 for over 60 years. He retired in 2000 and went on to be the instructor for the Apprenticeship and Journeyman Program for the Union workers for the next 15 years. Wayne loved Golf, traveling, and the Stock Market. Wayne was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
